Senior Administrator & Director of Technology Development

Position Summary

Mr. Kofi Newton serves as Senior Administrator and Director of Technology Development for TransAtlantic Transportation Service Ghana. In this role, Mr. Newton is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the development of the organization's entire digital infrastructure — including the passenger mobile application, driver dispatch application, scheduling systems, real-time GPS tracking platform, and organizational website.

Drawing on his background as a licensed commercial driver, he brings direct operational knowledge to the design of route planning, driver coordination, and dispatch management systems. He leads the Ghana-based youth development team responsible for building and maintaining all technology platforms, while simultaneously overseeing transportation scheduling, computer maintenance, office administration, customer service, and operational record management. Mr. Newton ensures that all technology and administrative services support the efficient, mission-driven daily operations of the organization and its October 2026 launch target.

Primary Responsibilities

Technology Development & Digital Infrastructure
  • Conceptualized and directed the full architecture of the organization's mobile transportation and logistics application platform.
  • Lead the design and functional requirements of both the passenger app and driver app, including user login, booking, real-time GPS tracking, dispatch management, and payment processing.
  • Developed and manages the organization's public-facing website and digital presence.
  • Recruit, direct, and mentor the Ghana-based youth development team responsible for building all technology platforms.
  • Oversee app testing, quality assurance, and launch preparation for October 2026.
  • Ensure all technology platforms meet operational, safety, and user experience standards.
  • Align app development with grant requirements including youth employment and training components.
App Scheduling and Dispatch Operations
  • Manage transportation scheduling applications and databases.
  • Schedule passenger transportation and package delivery services across all service corridors.
  • Coordinate driver assignments and route planning from Accra to the Western Region.
  • Monitor daily transportation schedules and dispatch operations.
  • Maintain accurate transportation records and operational reports.
Computer Maintenance and Technology Support
  • Maintain computers, printers, tablets, and communication systems.
  • Install and update software and transportation applications.
  • Troubleshoot technology issues and coordinate repairs.
  • Maintain internet and network connectivity across all office locations.
  • Ensure data security, system backups, and confidentiality of all organizational information.
Administrative Services
  • Maintain organizational records, files, and operational documentation.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and official organizational documents.
  • Schedule meetings, staff training sessions, and organizational events.
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide administrative support to all departments.
  • Assist executive leadership with planning, reporting, and grant compliance activities.
Customer Service & Community Relations
  • Support transportation clients, healthcare partners, and community organizations.
  • Address scheduling concerns and service requests professionally.
  • Maintain high standards of communication with customers, drivers, and staff.
  • Promote a culture of excellent customer service throughout the organization.
Data Management and Reporting
  • Maintain transportation, passenger, and package delivery records.
  • Generate weekly and monthly operational and performance reports.
  • Track transportation usage, service delivery metrics, and route performance.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all organizational data and records.
Youth Development & Training
  • Recruit and supervise young Ghanaian professionals for technology and administrative roles.
  • Provide hands-on training in app development, dispatch operations, scheduling systems, and administrative procedures.
  • Create career development pathways for youth staff within the organization.
  • Document youth employment and training activities in alignment with grant requirements.

Qualifications & Relevant Experience

  • Licensed commercial driver with direct knowledge of transportation operations, route planning, and driver management.
  • Demonstrated experience in mobile application development oversight and technology team leadership.
  • Proven ability to design and build organizational websites and digital platforms.
  • Strong background in administrative operations, scheduling systems, and organizational management.
  • Dual US–Ghana operational experience enabling effective transatlantic coordination.
  • Experience recruiting and developing youth talent in technology and transportation roles.
